Neglect of hygiene often leads to fatal consequences:
Drinking water is a perishable foodstuff. Therefore, everyone should know that water can change in composition on its way to customers. Warm water circulation circuits should be particularly protected from germs (biofouling). Legionella bacteria are a latent threat for human health. As a rule, drinking water containing a low amount of Legionella is supplied. This water is not hazardous to human health. The task of the building designers and owners is to maintain the proper quality of drinking water in domestic water-supply systems. This is not easy because of dirt, rust and lime contained in water.
Rely on the suitable WFC solution:
* CALFI: a new filter ensuring hygiene and safety in each house
CALFI protects your house installation from such contaminants as hemp, sand, fillings etc. which can penetrate into drinking water and water pipes in the process of repairs or new equipment mounting. The pipe disruptions, blocking valves in household appliances and dripping taps have been in the past.
Limescale protection filter CALFI offers limescale and dirt filtration. CALFI ensures optimal limescale protection in water pipes and boilers up to 18° d of total water hardness. A limescale protection unit sufficient for 160 cubic meters or one year serves a basis.
Your advantages at a glance:
* Reliability due to protection from dirt and foreign particles
* Limestone protection up to 18° dH
* CALFI is responsible for hygiene by preventing limescale deposits
* Protection from excessive energy consumption
* UV-disinfection: radiation death for germs and bacteria
Combined measures are considered to be effective for combatting Legionella. Thus, it makes sense to use an UV-disinfection unit. It functions as a reliable barrier against germs.
The fluid to be disinfected is exposed to radiation by a special mercury radiator. This radiator is so designed that UVC-radiation is highly efficient at 254 nm. DNA existing in all living organisms has its absorption peak at this wave length. If DNA is exposed to radiation at 254 nm a photochemical reaction is induced and DNA is inactivated. As a result metabolism is terminated in germs.
Germs cannot be reproduced and become harmless. To ensure disinfection a minimum dose of UVC-radiation is required. In most cases a dose of 300 - 400 Joule/m3 is enough.
Your advantages at a glance:
* No chemicals are required
* Inactivation of microorganisms without hazardous by-products
* economical
* environmentally benign
* easy maintenance
